Prepare a clean subscription CSV

Use the five-column schema, quoted names and ISO dates to transfer a subscription list reliably.

Use the exact five headers

The first row must be name, amount, currency, cycle, date in that order. Header names stay in English even when the interface is translated so one file works across languages. Each following row represents one subscription. Blank lines are ignored; additional columns are rejected rather than silently discarded.

Choose portable values

Use YYYY-MM-DD dates such as 2026-10-31 and decimal points such as 9.99. Supported cycle values are monthly, quarterly, yearly and once. Currency values use the codes displayed in the editor. The file is UTF-8 and comma-separated; semicolon-delimited spreadsheet exports must be converted before importing.

Quote names containing commas

A name such as Cloud, Pro needs CSV quoting: "Cloud, Pro". Double a quotation mark inside a quoted value. Exporting through LicenseDay handles these rules automatically. Subscription names cannot contain line breaks, even though the parser recognizes multiline CSV quoting.

Respect processing limits

Import files up to 1 MB containing at most 500 subscriptions. A malformed row, unsupported currency or invalid date rejects the import with an error; it does not replace the editor with a partly imported list. Keep a copy of your original source until you have checked the imported preview.

Protect spreadsheet readers

Names starting with formula prefixes such as =, +, - or @ receive an apostrophe in exported CSV files. This reduces spreadsheet formula execution when the file is opened. LicenseDay recognizes this protection on reimport. Keep passwords, card information and license keys outside your subscription list.
